Injection mold manipulator
The customer specializes in the manufacture of vehicle glazing. In several plants around the world, the customer injects rubber gaskets in presses directly onto the glasses it manufactures. To do this, the customer uses injection molds weighing several tons (up to 10 tons). These molds are high-precision mechanical assemblies requiring frequent maintenance and delicate, high-precision handling.
We have designed and built mold manipulators capable of opening molds in 2 parts and presenting them to operators, making maintenance operations easier and more ergonomic. These high-precision mechanical assemblies are set in motion by numerous hydraulic cylinders. Controls are manual, but secured by numerous sensors to prevent false maneuvers.
